Bobcats Chronicles

How a young NBA franchise gets it going

The Bounce Back: Magic vs. Bobcats

Posted by Sup on January 23, 2010

I’m not able to do a full preview due to family commitments. But suffice it to say that this is a tough matchup for the Bobcats every time out. Dwight Howard, as limited as he is offensively, is a nightmare to stop, especially with the more successful small lineup the Bobcats have trotted out at home with Boris Diaw at the 5. The Magic haven’t been a great road team this year though at 12-11. I know, Charlotte would kill for that road record. This isn’t about that.

Compounding tonight’s matchup is uncertainty about Gerald Wallace and Raymond Felton’s availability. Wallace re-tweaked his already sprained left ankle on last night’s shellacking by the Hawks. Without these two, the Bobcats’ chances to extend their home winning streak get that much slimmer. Felton matches up favorably with Jameer Nelson, and his absence, D.J. Augustin will have to pick up his game better than he did last night. Hoping for the best, here.
